Nursing Staff

Nursing StaffCaring for you is more than a job for the nurses at The Heart & Vascular Hospital. It’s a passion. We are partners in your healthcare, and honored to help restore your heart health and get you back on the path to a healthy lifestyle. Our nurses are an integral part of your team. They are leaders in quality care, and true ambassadors of compassion and commitment. The entire nursing staff is steadfast in our goal of providing an exceptional patient experience.

When a patient travels from one level of care to another, our Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified nurses perform personal, face-to-face transition reports involving the patient and family. The nurse-patient ratios are 1:2 in the ICUs and 1:4 on the Telemetry and Chest Pain Units. Our superb nurses follow the ICARE patient service model and perform hourly rounds on patients. The ICARE service model involves the nurse working directly with the patient in developing a customized plan of care together, and utilizing an in-room communication system to detail patient progress.
